The Street’s A Grand Don’t Come For Free

Bought this album in 2004 when it came out to much critical acclaim, but didn’t get into it at the time. Actually I sort of hated it.

But then somehow it was the only album on my iPhone on my trip to Southern California. And you know what? It’s really great, especially that song “Dry Your Eyes”.

The album has a compelling arc to it — basically a guy’s troubles with his friends and his girl friend — which somewhat get resolved at the end.

If you haven’t heard it recently, or never, definitely worth a listen to.
